Summit Garage Door LLC ("Summit Garage Door," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to ensuring that summitgaragedoorkc.com (the "Site") is accessible to all visitors, including individuals with disabilities. This statement explains our accessibility goals, what we are doing to meet them, and how to contact us if you encounter a barrier.

Our Commitment

Every homeowner in the Kansas City metro deserves equal access to the information and services we provide online. Whether you are browsing our services, viewing completed projects, requesting an estimate, or looking up our phone number, we want the experience to work for you regardless of ability or assistive technology.

Conformance Standard

We target Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA conformance level. These guidelines provide recommendations for making web content accessible to people with visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

Where we identify a gap between our site and the WCAG 2.1 AA criteria, we prioritize closing it. Conformance is an ongoing process, not a one-time checkbox.

Our conformance goal applies to all pages of the Site that are under the Company's direct control, including service pages, project galleries, contact and booking flows, legal pages, and blog articles.

Measures We Take

Accessibility is part of how we build and maintain this site. We include accessibility requirements in our design and development process from the start, not as an afterthought. We test across screen readers (NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS), keyboard-only navigation, and multiple browsers and device sizes. We review the site's accessibility posture after every major update or feature launch.

Technical Implementation

The site is built with semantic HTML5, proper heading hierarchy, and ARIA landmarks so assistive technologies can interpret page structure. Every page uses a logical heading order from H1 through H6 without skipping levels.

All meaningful images include descriptive alt text, including project photos and partner logos. Decorative images are marked as presentational so screen readers skip them.

Color contrast ratios meet or exceed 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text across our Navy, Bone, and Snow palette. All forms, buttons, and interactive controls are fully keyboard accessible with visible focus indicators. No information is conveyed by color alone.

Known Limitations

We recognize that not every page on our site may meet every WCAG 2.1 AA success criterion at this time. Some older content, embedded third-party tools such as our booking widget and payment processor, and certain interactive elements may have accessibility gaps we have not yet resolved. We are actively identifying and addressing these issues on a rolling basis and prioritize fixes that affect the most common user tasks first.

It is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, as well as mobile browsers on iOS and Android. We support browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality. The site does not use auto-playing media, flashing content, or CAPTCHA on any public-facing form.
